The Role
Chronus is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will provide accounting, general administrative and clerical office support to Chronus. This will include a variety of duties as needed to support the business operations, ranging from accounting data entry, cash collections, drafting key reports, account reconciliations, and financial reporting to supporting other organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounts payable (e.g., invoice data entry and GL coding and vendor payments)
- Responsible for reconciling and recording employee expense reports
- Responsible for journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Strategically collect accounts receivable in a timely manner
- Assist with the month-end closing process
- Assist with financial analyses and reports
- Manage organizational logistics as requested: may include travel/accommodation agendas, meeting communications, planning/tracking programs to a budget, etc.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned from time to time by your supervisor.
REQUIRED Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Accounting experience working with a global company
- Must be a resourceful self-starter with the ability to work independently and a can-do attitude
- Ability to effectively prioritize, project manage and multi-task in a fast-paced, cross-functional organization (start-up experience a plus)
- Fluency in English with good written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and staff in a geographically dispersed environment
- Good judgment, professionalism, and a high degree of integrity, particularly when working with sensitive, confidential information
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Competency in the Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
- Experience with accounting system; QuickBooks preferred
